Today, we're announcing a partnership with Saint Francis University (SFU) to bring production-grade hospitality technology into the classroom and accelerate workforce readiness. SFU students and faculty will gain hands-on access to Golden News' self-service kiosks, IoT sensors, and a hotel operations job management system-plus CTO-led lectures that translate industry practice into actionable learning.
Hospitality is evolving fast across AI, automation, contactless experiences, and sustainability. Rapid shifts in guest expectations and work norms are widening the skills gap. By integrating real tools, real data, and real-world mentorship, this partnership helps students build in-demand capabilities while giving faculty current industry context.
This partnership provides SFU with integrated technology access and practitioner-led learning designed to translate theory lectures into practical experience:
"Modern hospitality managers need to be fluent in technology," said Larry, CTO at Golden News. "By providing hands-on access to our systems, we're preparing SFU students to optimize operations and improve business performance from day one."
"We are moving beyond lecture materials to live operations. This partnership allows our students to see how technology facilitates hotel operations, delivering operational efficiency and quality service to customers," said Susana Yuen, Professor and Rita Tong Liu Dean, Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management, Saint Francis University.
Golden News and Saint Francis University are discussing a potential research partnership on the use of AI in hotel operations. If finalized, this work would focus on practical, applied studies that support hotel operations and deliver useful insights for the broader hospitality industry.
